Objective:
• At the strategic level, it will steer the project to address all unexpected situations, be these scientific, technological, environmental or political.
• At the operational level, it will ensure that the project progresses in conformity with the work plan with regard to overall progress, milestones, deliverables, and planned resources.
• At the organisational level, it will optimise the infrastructural setup to support the project, with special attention paid to financial, logistics, information, coordination issues and in terms of quality and conformity to EC rules and procedures.

Role of participants and methodology:
INRA (WP leader) will represent the Consortium towards the EC, chair the Executive Committee and the General Assembly, ensure smooth operation of the project, write periodic reports on progress of the project, submit all required progress reports, deliverables and financial statements to the EC, communicate all information in connection with the Project to the Commission, transfer the advance payments and further payments to the participants as per the provisional budget and the actual expenses approved by the General Assembly.
IT: project administration, consolidation of the annual project reports, financial administration, consolidation and control of the annual cost, assistance to individual project partners on specific administrative issues, communication facilities and coordination.
