The meeting was held from 9th until 14th of October 2011 in Slovenia.
The project partners of TuBeSafe project form Faculty of Food science and Engineering (Romania), Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Iowa State University and Cornell University (United States of America) got together with the purpose to get the insight into Slovene food safety study programme that is running at Biotechnical Faculty at University of Ljubljana (UL-BF). Other important goal of the meeting was to evaluate the progress and to plan future activities within the scope of the project.
The students had opportunity to listen to highly recognized experts and to work with them on selected case studies. Two-way communication was established and by that the students had to overcome language barrier and they had to start thinking in problem salving way as well.
What is the TuBeSafe project?
The project Tuning and Upgrading the Food Safety Education Curricula for BSc (TuBeSafe) is a policy oriented measure project of Atlantis programme. Atlantis programme is a cooperation programme of higher education and training running between European Union and Unites States of America.
What was the DREAM food models project contribution?
The contribution was lecture about dissemination. Trough the lecture authors presented the DREAM food models project and illustrated the importance of dissemination activates in general and for the DREAM project.
